Don't make me hate school

The workload in school is getting heavier every moment. It's getting pretty stressful. Have to balance everything. It just gets so overwhelming. Big deadlines for projects, tiny little assignments here & there to add up to the 10% or so for coursework. Right at the beginning of the year, I prayed that I would be consistent in my work, in going for lectures. I'm beginning to lose it. Being consistent in the work can be tough when you want to rest after a tiring day at school. I pray so much that I will be renewed all over again, finding that strength again to do my work and go for lectures. Just let me get over this friday & let me renewed over the weekend before I embark on my psychology project on monday. Argh! Can't attend the whole workshop on monday. Have to meet up with project group. Haven't fix the time. Argh. Just let me get over this week or two. And let me refresh and prepare for the mid-semester tests. I don't want the past to happen all over again. *bish*

Thank You For Every Fresh New Morning

I thank God that I was able to wake up early. Thank God for an uncrowded (if there's such a word) bus, with an auntie smiling at me, ready to offer to share the seat beside hers. I thank God that I was able to thank Him immediately.

A long tuesday but I thank God that I'm going to have no school from tomorrow to next monday...

Some people can be annoying. *bish*
Lord, help me stop feeling pissed.

Very interesting @ marketing class today. Dr Arnold Tan, 37 year old, is an inspiring tutor. He talked abt his life as a student & he's super impressive. Studied science in secondary school & CJC, wanting to be a vet. Had 2 As, 1B for A level. Very impressive indeed. However couldn't get into vet school 'cos Singapore only needed 1 vet student in some overseas uni. Instead, studied Lit & Lang in NUS. His passion. Out of the 200 students who were selected, he's 1 of the 2 guys in the class. Was offered Honours immediately when the lecturer saw him.

Heard from him that in Lit & Lang exam papers, there's usually 3 qns to answer for 3 hr paper. Usually some prose, phrase or whatsoever. Interestingly, in his exam papers, there was only one qns and it was a paragraph of "Baa Baa, Black Sheep". Everyone in the WTC hall was shocked. Everyone started writing like hell & he described as though they were writing bible. Hah! Dr Arnold actually spent 1 1/2 hr, thinking about the question & had actually came up with the answer about black sheep being the slaves and stuff on a 4 pages answer script..... and til now, his script is still being passed around for some reference thingy among students. Very very impressive guy.

He also went to study for MBA, specialising in International Marketing. And a PhD as well. He also talked abt how he made an impression on the moss-green, algae-growing-looking lady interviewer @ the interview for his doctorate degree.

He might sound really really bhb. But I looked beyond what he said, to his intention. "Follow your heart & your passion. It'll not be tough & be called studies if you love it. It'll be a hobby."

Really like his class alot. Looking forward to the next class with him. :)

It's just a fun test. Up to you whether you believe or not. I don't quite agree with it but find it really interesting. :)

first day of school

1st day of school, so far so good. not discouraged or feeling awful YET. Haha.
